First off, everyone knows that colds are no fun. Coughing, sneezing, taking pills...who likes that?
The thing that bothers me is not necessarily the symptoms my body receives from the little monster
sickness. What bothers me is that I can't eat dairy! Well yes, technically I could eat dairy, but my
allergies are a heck of a lot better when I don't have any.

Sure I may have considered being a vegan sometime in my lifetime (until I realized I would have to give up half the foods in my diet and probably would become thin as a rail since I run so much), but I never realized how much I loved yogurt and cottage cheese until I decided not to have dairy until
my cold went away. Man is it hard! Greek yogurt with berries, granola, cinnamon, and agave =love

And did I seriously almost forget ice cream? I think I need to go talk to some vegans about how they survive without this heaven on a cone. Well I guess they could have non-dairy ice cream but for the sake of trying to make myself feel like eating no dairy is terrible, I will just forget that I am actually kind of obsessed with soy and coconut milk ice cream. (Try it...it is GREAT. Yes I just capitalized great. That usually means you run out to the store immediately and go buy some of that dairy free ice cream already. If not I might have to eat get it for you.)
Okay so eating no dairy isn't that bad. There are loads of people out there who have lactose allergies and never can have any dairy. If that is you imagine yourself getting a pat on the back from me right now as I tell you it is probably for the best since addictions to ice cream are occurring more often these days then ever before. ;)
Actually I already feel better about my current situation after feeling bad for other people too. I swear blogging is like a stress reliever, even when you know that nobody is reading your posts.
Are you lactose intolerant or vegan?
What is your favorite dairy product that would be the hardest for you to give up?
